Gerry’s pursuit of quality in all aspects of winemaking led to an unexpected endeavor: inventions. Not always finding equipment to meet his high standards, Gerry designed and refined tools for winemaking. Since California winemakers have been quick to recognize the benefits of such equipment, the tools can be found in most West Coast wineries.
Winemaking and grape growing are in Gerry Rowland’s blood. In 1537, his German ancestors first put the family crest on a wine label and brokered it throughout Europe. Gerry himself was raised in Australia’s famed wine region, the Barossa Valley, where his father farmed grapes. |
